Prince Harry receives birthday wishes from Royal Family as he turns 36

The Duke of Sussex has received birthday wishes from the Royal Family as he celebrates turning 36
His grandmother,the queen, and his brother and sister-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, posted birthday greetings on their official Twitter accounts
The royal family account shared an image of The Queen and Harry from a 2017 Buckingham Palace reception, along with emojis of a cake and balloon, and the words: “Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy birthday!”
Meanwhile, the Cambridges posted an image of them racing Harry at a 2017 event supporting their Heads Together mental health campaign, and the message: “Wishing a very happy birthday to Prince Harry today!”
The duke is celebrating his birthday following an eventful year where he and Meghan announced they would be stepping back as senior royals – with reports suggesting tensions were high between the pair and Buckingham Palace
The couple are now living in California with their son Archie after moving to the coastal city just before the coronavirus lockdown began in March
They are likely to celebrate the duke’s birthday privately at their £11m Santa Barbara home since a surge in COVID-19 cases has forced many bars and restaurants to close their indoor spaces
The celebrity hotspot has been experiencing the after effects of California’s wildfires with falling ash and red skies reported by residents in recent days
Harry and Meghan have spent much of lockdown supporting local charities in California, as well as championing causes including gender politics and equality
The couple are fast adapting to life in the US, announcing earlier this month they had signed a deal with netflix to create films and programmes – estimated by an industry expert to be worth more than $250m (£190m)
They will be producing films and series for the streaming platform, including scripted series, docu-series, documentaries, features and children’s programming
The lucrative contract allowed them to pay back the £ 2.4m of taxepayer’ money spent on renovating his UK home at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor
The couple have also spoken to young commonwealth leaders in the wake of the black lives matter movemment , and said the Commonwealth’s history must be acknowledged if the world is able to move forward
Harry said: “When you look across the Commonwealth, there is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past
“So many people have done such an incredible job of acknowledging the past and trying to right those wrongs, but I think we all acknowledge there is so much more still to do”
